POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an innovative Business Development Manager to support growth strategy and expand market presence in Medical Devices or Food & Beverage industries. This role will be tasked with creating revenue by driving complex deals from the lead stage to contract execution. This role is ideal for a professional with a track record in scaling business operations, driving team-based company. The incumbent will have a proven record of consistently meeting sales quotas. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with company goals and revenue targets. Provide regularly scheduled updates on progress towards meeting targets.
  • Market Intelligence and Expansion: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, identify new market opportunities, emerging industry trends, and strategic partnerships to drive growth in key regions and verticals.
  • Partnership Management: Forge and manage relationships with key decision makers such as buyers, engineers, executives, and potential partners to drive brand growth and revenue.
  • Revenue Generation: Administer pipeline development, lead generation, and sales processes, ensuring effective strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives and market positioning.
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline health and progress toward revenue. 

PREFERRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of sales experience in a hunter role for a manufacturing business selling six figure or greater opportunities
  • Record of consistently meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Utilize Excel or CRM tools to record key metrics on opportunities and pipeline reporting
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; Great computer skills
