POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Solutions Engineer acts as a critical bridge between customers, internal teams, and product implementation, ensuring solutions meet business, technical, and compliance needs. This role collaborates with sales, product, and API implementation teams to scope technical solutions, document integration requirements, deliver demonstrations, and ensure seamless handoff for API development and rollout.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand Innovis products and services thoroughly to advise customers on capabilities and integration approaches that fit complex customer systems and solve customer-specific issues.
  • Engage customers and prospects to assess needs, lead technical discovery conversations, and develop appropriate solution designs.
  • Deliver tailored, story-driven demonstrations highlighting product capabilities and matching to client use cases.
  • Support sales team by being the technical subject matter expert throughout the sales process.
  • Create technical documentation outlining client requirements, integration settings, workflows, and testing expectations.
  • Build and maintain trust with sales, product, and client teams by being the go-to technical advisor and resource.
  • Contribute to planning, creation, and maintenance of technical demonstrations, sales tools, and enablement materials.
  • Capture customer feedback and collaborate with Product Management to drive enhancements and future development.
  • Summarize opportunities, customer needs, and solution trends in Salesforce to inform strategy and sales process improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and customer best practices to strengthen internal and external knowledge sharing.
  • Travel up to 30% for client meetings, conferences, and team collaboration events.
  • Communicate frequently and openly with stakeholders to ensure alignment across sales, product, and implementation.
  • Maintain up-to-date and complete records in Salesforce to support forecasting, reporting, and internal knowledge sharing.

PREFERRED PROFILE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2–4 years of success in Solutions Engineering, Presales Consulting, or Technical Sales roles required.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts including APIs, OAuth, JSON, and integration processes.
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM or other similar CRM providers for managing opportunities and customer communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical details into non-technical explanations to demonstrate practical customer value.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work independently, while managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-first approach.
  • Enthusiasm for technology, sales, collaboration, and continuous learning.

LOCATION: Remote (Ideally in Columbus, Pittsburgh or Philadelphia)
