Plant Engineer
COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Their facility in Columbus, Ohio, is a critical part of their growth strategy, and they’re looking for a driven and experienced General Manager to join their team and lead the charge in optimizing and growing plant operations and capabilities and managing all personnel.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The company is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join their team. This role requires hands-on expertise in designing, commissioning, and operating industrial wastewater or separation equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the design, construction, modification, performance, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance
- Prepare project scopes, schedules, and coordinate work between in-house resources and contractors
- Collaborates with the Operations manager, performs hands-on troubleshooting of basic electrical and mechanical issues with pumps, motors, sensors, valves, etc.
- Directs the maintenance of plant equipment and coordinates the requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules
- Develop and prepare engineering and operational estimates for capital improvements
- Develop, maintain, and communicate key production, financial, quality, operating expense & cost metrics
- Other duties, as needed
PREFERRED PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- At least 5 years of process engineering experience in wastewater treatment or plant operations
- Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and schematics
- PLC experience with ability to read ladder diagrams, VFD experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
