Collections Managing Attorney

The firm is experienced in the areas of foreclosure, creditor litigation, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, title curative issues, and general housing-related issues such as foreclosure liens, redemption, homeowner association matters, mobile home curative, and compliance issues.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Collections Managing Attorney oversees attorneys handling debt collection matters, promotes teamwork to achieve firm goals, and ensures compliance, quality, and performance standards are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Oversight & File Management
- Ensure action codes are being worked to keep cases moving toward collection.
- Monitor JST steps and messages.
- Ensure files are progressing appropriately.
- Resolve escalated issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state debt collection law and client requirements.
- Implement strategic approaches to increase efficiency, billing, and client satisfaction.
- Suggest improvements to upper management.
Attorney Supervision & Performance Management
- Support and supervise collection attorneys.
- Ensure attorneys receive appropriate training.
- Ensure attorneys have all tools needed to get the job done.
- Monitor attorney performance and address performance concerns.
PREFERRED PROFILE:
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active bar license
- 5+ years debt collection experience
