Their product focuses on achieving high reliability for long-running workflows, persistent context, and real-world task completion. The system must handle multi-step reasoning, interact with external tools, and remain reliable despite non-deterministic model behavior. The objective is to help users complete tasks daily enjoyable with over ~90%* reduced time.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The CTO will own technology strategy, architecture and engineering standards across the group. This is a technical leadership role for someone who can operate across multiple businesses while remaining close to systems, architecture and engineering execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own architecture and major technical decisions across group products and platforms.
- Review critical systems, architecture, infrastructure and code directly.
- Set engineering standards across reliability, security, performance, testing and code quality.
- Identify technical debt and architecture constraints and drive their resolution.
- Improve engineering productivity, development speed and production reliability.
- Decide where technology and infrastructure should be shared across group businesses.
- Recruit and assess senior engineers, technical leads and engineering leaders.
PREFERRED PROFILE:
- Deep software engineering background with experience building and scaling production systems.
- Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.
- Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
- Capable of building world-class engineering teams.
- Still technically hands-on – able to review code, architecture, incidents and difficult engineering problems directly.
