POSITION OVERVIEW:
You will design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for various data domains (e.g., Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material). Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams during MDG implementation. Develop and maintain data models, workflows, and business rules within the MDG framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand master data requirements and challenges.
- Design and implement SAP MDG solutions to support master data governance processes.
- Configure SAP MDG applications to meet business requirements, including data models, workflows, UI configurations, and validations.
- Develop and maintain data governance rules, data quality metrics, and data standards within SAP MDG.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality of SAP MDG solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP MDG applications, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.
- Work closely with other SAP functional and technical teams to integrate SAP MDG with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution activities for SAP MDG implementations and enhancements.
- Stay current with SAP MDG best practices, new features, and industry trends.
PREFERRED PROFILE:
- 4-10 years of proven experience as a SAP MDG systems analyst, developer or consultant with successful implementations and system evolution including configuration and customization capabilities
- 4-10 years of proven experience translating functional requirements into a technical solution utilizing SAP MDG
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong understanding of master data management concepts and principles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) configuration and implementation.
- Proficiency in SAP MDG data modeling, UI modeling, workflow configuration, and data replication.
- Experience with SAP MDG integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) and third-party systems.
- Knowledge of SAP data migration tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- SAP MDG certification (preferred).
Good to have
- Experience with SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services, or other data quality tools (preferred).
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 for developing custom MDG applications (preferred).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA (preferred).
- Strong understanding of industry-specific master data domains (e.g., customer, vendor, material) and associated business processes (preferred).
LOCATION: Remote (Need to be NYC 2-3X month)
