Technical Business Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate will have strong background in eliciting, analyzing and documenting business requirements as well as designing system architectures for complex projects. Expertise in SQL will play a crucial role in database-related tasks, data analysis and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of system implementations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong experience in insurance specifically to pricing and underwriting. Good to have experience in claims and operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze and customize business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system design documents.
- Emphasis is on analyzing the structure of a business, its technology adoption and goals
- Structure solution to address business objectives and problem solving
- Identify and manages gaps, determining the effectiveness of proposed solution facilitates writing user stories with the team and develop Business Requirements documents and models (if required).
- Extensive experience in SQL and proficient in writing complex queries to extract and manipulate data ensuring database integrity.
- Understanding of database security principles and best practices fir data integrity and confidentiality
- Good to have experience in GCP and big data query.
- Demonstrated experience data/interface mapping.
- Experience working on technology enabled projects.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing and post implementation reviews to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Exposure to Agile methodology
- Assist in the delivery of projects (all phases)
- Manage day-to-day project operations, serve as the functional and domain expert on the project team to ensure that they meet client expectations.
PREFERRED PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
- 5+ years of experience as business analyst with at least 2 years of experience SQL, API and Data mapping is Mandatory. (MQs/KAFKA/JSON/Batch is a plus)
- Experience in working in dual shore engagement is preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience in managing clients directly
- Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
- Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
- Seeks to become an expert in their field and shares their expertise through recommendations, proactive communications/actions and peer sharing/coaching where relevant.
