POSITION OVERVIEW:

This person will be working with Investment team for a major Insurance client. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Actuarial /Financial modeling and a strong understanding of the BFSI and Investment instruments.

PREFERRED PROFILE:

• Experience in Clearwater Accounting platform or similar investment accounting platform is a must have
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in finance, Investments, actuarial science
• 5-7+ years’ experience in Life Insurance/Reinsurance
• Knowledge of other investment-related software and tools (Bloomberg, Aladdin etc.) is preferred
• Professional certification Actuarial exams or CFA and FRM working in Insurance industry. 
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Strong and in-depth understanding of insurance industry
• Strong and in-depth understanding of investment instruments
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in a fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take on uphill challenges.
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe.
• The person should be able to create/help build a mapping exercise for the investment data coming from various sources.
• Should have hands on experience of few years with SQL, should be able to create business logic.
• Advance level knowledge of MS Excel.
• Should be independently able to conduct data analysis on results produced by financial models.
• The person would be required to create automated upload templates that would be loaded to subledger/ledger. 
• The person will be responsible for testing and implementing the new/updated regulatory requirements.
• The person should be able to quickly understand the business issues and data challenges and propose solutions.
• A suitable candidate should have 9+ years of experience and 7+ years in a similar role and should possess a go-getter attitude. The Candidate should be able to deal with ambiguity.
• Superior finance, analytical and problem-solving skills.  
• Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision.
• Excellent communication skill for client interaction
• Experience in Clearwater Accounting platform or similar investment accounting platform is a must have
• Background in Finance, Investment, Actuarial Science or pursuing actuarial exams.
• Good understanding of US (United States) market and the latest regulatory guidelines such Long Duration Targeted Improvements
• Good knowledge of SQL, advanced Excel
